Siapa Habib Bahar bin Smith? Mari Mengenal Lebih Jauh


Habib Bahar bin Smith yang memiliki nama asli Sayyid Baḥr bin ‘Alī bin ‘Alawī bin ‘Abd ar-Raḥman bin Sumayṭ lahir di Manado, 23 Juli 1985.
Habib Bahar adalah seorang ulama dan pendakwah Indonesia asal Manado, Sulawesi Utara.
Bahar merupakan pemimpin dan pendiri Majelis Pembela Rasulullah yang berkantor pusat di Pondok Aren, Tangerang Selatan.
Selain itu, dia juga merupakan pendiri Pondok Pesantren Tajul Alawiyyin di Kemang, Bogor. Bahar dikenal sebagai seorang pendakwah yang berani mengobarkan semangat perjuangan Islam dan isi ceramahnya tegas dan menyejukan.
Pada setiap ceramahnya, dia selalu didampingi dan dijaga ketat oleh Laskar Pembela Islam dan Front Pembela Islam (FPI).
Namun tidak jarang pula didampingi oleh Barisan Ansor Serbaguna ketika dia berdakwah di tempat yang masyarakatnya berafiliasi dengan Nahdlatul ‘Ulama (NU).
Bahar bin Smith lahir di Manado, Sulawesi Utara sebagai anak pertama dari tujuh bersaudara. Dia berasal dari keluarga Arab Hadhrami golongan Alawiyyin bermarga Aal bin Sumaith.
Majelis Pembela Rasulullah yang didirikan Habib Bahar sejak tahun 2007 kini telah memiliki anggota mencapai ratusan orang yang berdomisili di Ciputat, Tangerang Selatan; Pesanggrahan, Jakarta Selatan; dan Pondok Aren, Tangerang Selatan.
Bersama para anggota Majelis Pembela Rasulullah, Bahar kerap melakukan aksi sweeping dan penutupan di beberapa tempat hiburan di Jakarta.
Aksinya yang paling menonjol adalah ketika dia menggerakan sekitar 150 orang jemaah Majelis Pembela Rasulullah pada bulan Ramadhan tahun 2012 untuk melakukan razia di Cafe De Most Pesanggrahan, Jakarta Selatan.
Hal tersebut dilakukan karena kafe tersebut diduga sebagai sarang maksiat. Habib kemudian menutup paksa Cafe De Most dan meminta agar tempat tersebut ditutup sebulan penuh selama bulan Ramadhan.
Selain itu, Bahar juga mendirikan Pondok Pesantren Tajul Alawiyyin yang mengadopsi sistem salaf di daerah Pabuaran, Kemang, Bogor. Ia juga dikenal dekat dengan ormas FPI.
Bahkan, Selain Rizieq Shihab, Bahar merupakan tokoh utama penggerak serangkaian Aksi Bela Islam yang menuntut agar Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok diadili terkait pernyataannya yang dianggap menghina Islam.
Bahar sering berdakwah di berbagai acara peringatan hari besar Islam, seperti Maulid Nabi Muhammad dan Isra Mikraj.
Pada setiap ceramahnya, dia selalu didampingi dan dijaga ketat oleh Front Pembela Islam.

Pesawat Air Niugini Jatuh ke Laut, Semua Penumpang Selamat

Sebuah pesawat kecil milik maskapai Air Niugini jatuh ke laut saat akan mendarat di Bandara Chuuk di Weno, Mikronesia, Jumat (28/9/2018). Beruntung, seluruh penumpang dan awak yang mencapai 47 orang berhasil diselamatkan. Pesawat diduga terbang dari Papua Nugini. "Itu seharusnya mendarat tetapi bukannya mendarat, itu 150 meter dan (pesawat) itu turun," kata Jimmy Emilio, manajer umum Bandara Chuuk, melalui telepon. "Kami tidak benar-benar tahu apa yang terjadi...orang-orang diselamatkan dengan perahu, 36 penumpang dan 11 awak semuanya diselamatkan, hanya pesawat yang tenggelam sekarang," katanya. Dia mengatakan penyebab kecelakaan itu tidak jelas. "Seseorang harus memeriksanya dan beri tahu kami," katanya kepada  Pacific Daily News . "Sejauh ini, kita tidak tahu mengapa pesawat jatuh."
